Ship abilities

Last updated: September 20, 2026

Every ship has its own abilities, and firing them by hand at the right moment is exactly the kind of chore a bot should take. Anbots NG does it per ship, with your rules.

Where to set them

Open the abilities window of a ship from its line in the Fleet tab. The window lists what that ship can do, and the icon on the dock line lights up when abilities are active there, so you can see at a glance which ships are set up.

What you see for each ability

  • Whether it needs a target, which means combat only, or is self-cast.
  • Its cost, and its cooldown in seconds.
  • Its state during a run: active, or ready.

In a fight

Your ship uses its combat ability instead of a plain attack, and keeps its target when the ability is not ready. A miner fires its ability on the way in, so it lands protected.

Grinding abilities on their own

To work an ability without running a full farm, use Skill Only mode: the ship goes where you send it and works its abilities until the count you set.

Quick answers

Do ship abilities need Premium?

Yes. Without Premium the abilities window still opens and keeps your choices, and they come back the day you upgrade.

Which abilities can the bot fire?

The ones your ship actually has. Each one shows whether it needs a target, which means combat only, or is self-cast, plus its cost and its cooldown.

Does it waste abilities by retrying?

No. It waits out the cooldown instead of retrying every twenty seconds, and it waits longer each time the game turns it down.
