Remote kill switch
Last updated: September 20, 2026
Anbots NG checks one small signed file when it starts. It is the one lever we keep, and this page says exactly what it can and cannot do.
What it can do
- Stop a broken release, for everyone running it, when a game update or a bug makes it misbehave.
- Ask for an update, by setting the lowest version still allowed.
- Show you a message, so you know what is going on rather than facing a bot that just stops.
What it cannot do
- It does not work by account. We can stop a version; we cannot stop you.
- It cannot brick your bot by accident. If the file is unreachable, unreadable or not properly signed, nothing is blocked and the bot runs.
Why we keep it
Because a version that goes wrong keeps going wrong on your account until it is stopped. A release we can stop is a release we can ship carefully.
Quick answers
Can you switch off my bot?
No. The kill switch works by version, not by account. We can stop a release for everyone who runs it; we cannot pick you.
What happens if your server is down?
Nothing is blocked. The bot only stops on an explicit, valid instruction, so a server problem on our side never leaves you with a bot that refuses to run.
Why would you stop a version?
Because a game update or a bug makes that version behave badly. Stopping it is better than letting it run wrong on your account.
Will I know why?
Yes. The block carries a message, and it can also ask you to update to a fixed version.
